Naval Museum
The mission of the Puerto Vallarta Naval Museum is to conserve, preserve, exhibit, and disseminate the institution’s cultural assets and those that highlight historical and relevant international maritime events in which the Mexican Navy has participated, using cutting-edge pedagogical methodologies to facilitate access to knowledge and strengthen the values of national identity. The Puerto Vallarta Naval Museum houses 367 museum pieces, including objects, documents, paintings, artwork, and research works that are testimony to and part of Mexico’s history. These pieces are preserved, secured, and disseminated to foster love for the nation’s homeland, values, and naval culture. These pieces are part of the Mexican Navy’s historical heritage and are presented in the 16 permanent exhibition halls. Try delicious dishes at our cafeteria, La Mar del Sur, and pick up souvenirs at the boutique.
